State plan to hold SSLC and II PUC exams simultaneously

Prime News, State, Bengaluru, July 17:- From the academic year 2018-19, the Karnataka state government is planning to hold Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and II Pre University College (PUC) final examination simultaneously.

As per the department sources the state is planning to conduct simultaneous exams to check examination related malpractices.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister confirming the development said that the proposal is in active consideration and will be implemented only after consultation with all the stake holders, he said.

As per the proposal both the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) and state PU department will hold the examination together. The State government is planning to allot the examination centers and seat numbers to the students randomly to ensure that there is no foul play.

Education department sources meanwhile revealed that the state government is also considering the proposal of releasing question papers online just four minutes before the examination schedule.

Sources added that “On trial basis, the online question paper delivery scheme will be implemented in few districts.” explained an officer.
