In a gesture to support the cause of education of children of the housekeeping and security staff at Software Paradigms Infotech (SPI) Pvt Ltd, stationery kits were distributed in the city recently. Subhash Chatterjee, senior vice-president, SPI India, gave away the stationery kits to the housekeeping and security staff. Around 100 kits were distributed to the staff members. The requirement was collected in advance and the kits were prepared accordingly from LKG to SSLC. The kits comprised note books, drawing books, pens, pencils, geometry box, colour pencils, sketch pens, scale and an eraser. Subhash said “SPI Foundation has always supported the cause of education, this initiative is one such which is in practice since nine years now. We are happy to be supporting the staff and ensuring that their children are educated.
” Mahesh, a housekeeping supervisor and a resident of Koorgalli, says that the initiative taken up by SPI Foundation was helpful for the education of his children. Working with SPI since four years, he says that SPI is among the few IT firms in Mysuru that supports their staff and the local communities. Giri Gowda, a house-keeping personnel who has two daughters, understands the importance of education and says that he could study only up to class seven, but he would certainly get his daughters educated. Sundar, another worker at SPI who also has two daughters studying in Government School, Hebbal, says that he has taken great efforts in getting good education for his children. The education kits are distributed annually to the staff members. Sanjay Srinivasmurthy, VP, IT delivery, and SPI Foundation team members were present.
