The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with IT&BT, Government of Karnataka, and KBITS & STPI Mysuru organised an IT conference at the premises of Larsen and Tubro Ltd in city on Wednesday.
The conference focused on theme ‘Are you learning as fast as the world is changing’ for the IT professionals in order to aid them understand and speed up the process of learning in tune with the changing world.
Delivering the keynote address CEO & MD ITC Infotech, Sushma Rajagopalan spoke about the necessities for change and the need to adapt to the changes in future. Speaking of the same, she questioned the gathering if we are really learning as fast as we should and if it is just the technology or something more fundamental that is causing such a rapid change around us. She felt everything that’s going digital is because of the way we consume as it is all about how we are using the services in economy today.
“Though all organizations are training their employees to the best of their abilities and employees too are picking up, the time provided for the same is not sufficient enough and people need to learn multiple things much faster,” she added.
CII chairman Dr N Muthukumar said that we are already growing at a very fast pace with the help of IT and need to be competent enough to sustain this growth and the changes we may have to face in future.
