Mysuru city traffic police have taken two boys into custody and ceased six stolen two-wheelers worth Rs 2,70,000.
On suspicion, the police zeroed in on four youngsters in their 20s who were moving around in the temple street of Jayalakshmipuram on a Dio and Karisma bike. When interrogated, the arrested boys spilled the beans. They admitted to stealing two-wheelers in Jayalakshmipuram and Nazarbad police station limits. Acting upon their information, ceased five Honda Dio and one Karisma bike.
Police said they were stealing two-wheelers by using duplicate keys. Four theft cases in Jayalakshmipuram and two in Nazarbad stations have come to light. The operation was conducted under the guidance of DCP Rudramuni and Narasimharaja division ACP Umesh G Seth. Jayalakshmipuram police inspector Ravindra C M, ASI D B Suresh, constables Rangaswamy, Lokesh, Siddiqui, Prakash and Prashanth were part of the operation.
