Students asked not to worry over SSLC exams

Mysuru, June 22:- “Students and parents need not worry about SSLC examination. All precautionary measures are being taken to conduct the exams,” said Kuvempunagar Government High School principal Bhagya M on Monday. She was speaking after distributing hall tickets to SSLC students and masks provided by Youth for Seva at the school on Monday.

“Students have to wear masks compulsorily during the examination and maintain social distancing as well. Parents have to think about the future of their children. The education department has taken all the necessary precautions. It would be better if parents drop their children to the examination centre on the day of the examination. Students will have to undergo thermal screening at the entrance. Parents are not allowed to enter the examination centre,” she said.

“Our organisation has already distributed masks to more than 75,000 people. We have created awareness among people regarding the importance of masks. Our health is our responsibility. A surgical mask has a validity of just 6 hours. We have seen many people throwing away their masks. Don’t do that. You can use cloth masks which are washable and reusable and can be used for 6 months. Don’t mix them with other clothes. Dry them under the sun after washing. If you have any symptoms of coronavirus get tested at a nearby hospital,” said the convener of Youth for Seva, Satish Metri.

Sandhya Srinivas, Lakshmi, and others were present. (MR\GK).
