The students of Mysore Royal Academy School of Business (MYRA) in their online analytics training website article have highlighted the role of ‘gap analytics’ in the taxi service industry in the city of Mysuru.
The article focuses on the fastest growing transportation divisions in India. Mysuru, being a heritage city, attracts numerous tourists from all over the world and is also the home to many multinational companies (MNCs), attracting working professionals and job seekers. Both these factors are aiding the expansion of taxi services in the city. The student’s study concluded that even though there are a lot of players in the taxi service industry, only a few brands stand out in terms of customer satisfaction and other attributes that make a taxi ride great.

This is from their research work as part of the course on Business Analytics taught by Dr Purba Halady Rao, a senior professor in Business Analyt-ics for the last 2-3 decades, who has also worked in the Asian Institute of Management at Manila, Philippines.
