Students of MYRA conduct study on Mysore small taxi service

The students of Mysore Royal Academy School of Business (MYRA) in their online analytics training website article have highlighted the role of ‘gap analytics’ in the taxi service industry in the city of Mysuru.

The article focuses on the fastest growing transportation divisions in India. Mysuru, being a heritage city, attracts numerous tourists from all over the world and is also the home to many multinational companies (MNCs), attracting working professionals and job seekers. Both these factors are aiding the expansion of taxi services in the city. The analysis helped in identifying the significant factors contributing to customer satisfaction. The students worked using the gap analytics tool to compare performances among three major players operating in Mysuru.

The student’s study concluded that even though there are a lot of players in the taxi service industry, only a few brands stand out in terms of customer satisfaction and other attributes that make a taxi ride great.

Yarakulla Ajay Kumar, Namburu Dileep Naga Bhargav, Ishtpreet Singh, Manoranjan Kumar, Potti N V D Aditya Kumar, Ramya Bhavani, Ravi Teja Ganji and Yash Marwari have brought laurels to the institution through their work.

This is from their research work as part of the course on Business Analytics taught by Dr Purba Halady Rao, a senior professor in Business Analyt-ics for the last 2-3 decades, who has also worked in the Asian Institute of Management at Manila, Philippines. She is a visiting faculty at the MYRA School of Business for the past couple of years.
