Students should aim at holistic learning: UoM VC Prof T K Umesh

Mysuru, July 26:- “Choose any subject for the studies, it should be studied holistically,” said In-charge Vice Chancellor of University of Mysore (UoM) Prof T K Umesh.

He was speaking at the induction programme held for the 1st year students at JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science on Mysuru-Ooty Road on Wednesday.

“The college has utilised the autonomous status given to it effectively. Along with studying from books, learning from teachers help you in life,” he said.

“JSS College undoubtedly is one of the best colleges affiliated to University of Mysore. The college is working hard to provide value-added education. Students should strive for perfection in their studies,” said the Director of College Development Board of UoM Dr S Srikantaswamy.

CEO of the college Prof B V Sambashivaiah, Principal Prof M Mahadevappa, Prof D S Sadashiva Murthy, Dr B Prabhuswamy, Dr L Vinay Kumar, Santhosh Kumar, Karthik, Vasumathi and others were present. (MR/GK).
