Students should know their blood group as it helps in emergency: BD Subramanya

Mysuru, July 24:- “Blood is required in emergency situations. For that, every student should his/her blood group,” said the chairman of the Rotary organisation, BD Subramanya.

He was speaking after inaugurating free blood group identification camp organised at Bettadapura Government PU College on Tuesday.

“Blood is required during surgeries and for treating people who are injured during accidents. If you are aware of your blood group, it will be helpful for you to donate blood,” he added.

Rotary distributed notebooks to students on the occasion.

Principal of the college Chaithra, KM Vinay Shekhar, former president BV Javaregowda, former president of Rotary organisation KR Nagaraj, lecturer of the college Roopa and others were present. (MR/KS)
