New experience for students of SVG Vishwaprajna Composite PU College at APMC

Mysuru, August 11:- Commerce students of SVG Vishwaprajna Composite PU College on Saturday visited Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) at Nanjangud Road here and learnt new things about agricultural products’ marketing.

Treasurer of the college and owner of Vinayaka Traders at APMC explained to the students how the process of selling takes place through farmers, middlemen, merchants and retail shops.

He informed that most of the fruits and vegetables at the APMC are sent to Kerala and Tamil Nadu by noon and e-tender is held for the auction of the products.

Students were later divided into groups of five members each  were sent to several shops to practically understand how the sales take place. Students got their doubts cleared by asking questions.

Managing trustee of the college Vishwanath Sheshachala, principal Rachan Appanamaiah, M R Nataraj, Ektha and Shivakumar were present. (MR/GK).
