Prime News, National, New Delhi, June 30:- Germany in a bilateral meeting with India in 2016 decided to conduct a feasibility study for a high-speed Rail project in Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru sector.
The entire cost the study will bear by the German side. Germany conducting a feasibility study for running trains at a speed of about 300 kmph on the 450 km long stretch of Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru sector.
Germany has appointed a consortium of consultants comprising DB E&C, Intraplan Consult and Ingenieurburo Vossing for the feasibility study, which includes, location, ridership, challenges and opportunities exists.
Workshops have been organised by consultants at Chennai and Bengaluru in June 2017 to interact with zonal authorities and to understand regional requirements, Railway Ministry officials also expected to attend the workshops.
