Mysuru, August 21:- A special lecture, as part of ‘Sanskritothsava,’ was organised by the Department of Sanskrit of SBRR Mahajana First Grade College here on Tuesday.
“Sanskrit should not be studied for mere marks. It has to be studied for knowledge and with a responsibility to protect the ancient language for generations,” said Dr K Narayana Bhat of the Department of Sanskrit of the University of Mysore.
The principal of the college Dr S Venkataramu, vice-principal Jayakumari BR, head of the Department of Sanskrit Dr Srinivas and others were present. (MR/SH)
