Sumana Vidya Kendra students hold Graduation Day with pomp

Sumana Vidya Kendra celebrated its School Day and the fourth Graduation Day ceremony held for Upper Kindergarten (UKG) children of the school under its programme ‘Early World of Learning’.

This is the first time a rural school has celebrated such an occasion with pomp and splendour. As many as sixty seven children from Mellahalli, Harohalli, Chikkankanahalli, and other villages marched on the streets of Mellahalli dressed in their academic gowns and caps accompanied by their school band.

Dr Premila Matthew was the chief guest. She also distributed the certificates to the students. Maria Waturuocha, the first teacher of the school, Maria and Emilia ICDE volunteers were the special guests and distributed the prizes. Sr Alice Joseph, Co-ordinator Sumana presided over the function.
