Sunil Bose, the son of PWD and Mysuru District In-charge minister Dr H C Mahadevappa visited the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Wednesday. He came in a government car at around 4:30 pm and spoke to DC Shikha for almost 45 minutes and also received salutes from officers and security men inside the office.
The minister’s son, however, was shocked to find reporters and cameramen following him.
According to sources, Sunil Bose who is either a minister or an MLA or an MP received VIP treatment where officers made way to him as he entered the office and headed straight towards the DC’s chamber. He had apparently come there to request Shikha to go soft on Marigowda who has been accused of intimidating her.
Marigowda who is the former president of the Mysuru Zilla Panchayat, along with his two supporters allegedly intimidated the Deputy Commissioner at the Government Guest House where Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had arrived to take part in the Iftaar party on Sundayevening.
An FIR has been registered at the Nazarbad Police Station based on the complaint by DC Shikha against Marigowda under IPC Sections 143, 147, 504 and 353.
Sunil Bose, however told the media that he had come to meet the DC to speak about the ring road and some land acquisition. He however did not have answers to how he got the privilege of travelling in a government car and that too with another vehicle as escort. Sunil Bose rushed to the government car as reporters posed a series of questions on his powers.
Sources said that the minister’s son travelled in the car that was given to CHESCOM Managing Director.
