“Former deputy chief minister K S Eshwarappa who has been speaking against BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa, should be suspended from the party with immediate effect,” said R Sridharamurthy, member of BJP SC Morcha State Committee.
He was addressing a press meet held at the Mysuru Press club in the city on Monday.
“During by-elections, Eshwarappa was praising Yeddyurappa as the next chief minister. But soon after the by-polls, he has taken cudgels against Yeddyurappa and is now blaming him. Eshwarappa has also urged to remove Yeddyurappa from the position of BJP state president. It shows his mental status. The party is getting embarrassed by the actions of Eshwarappa,” he added.
“Eshwarappa who was relegated to the fourth place in the last Assembly elections by the voters clearly proves the trust he has lost. After enjoying all positions in the party which Yeddyurappa built over the years with hard work and dedication, now speaking against the former CM is unforgivable.
Eshwarappa embarrassed the party by setting up Rayanna brigade despite opposition. He is trying to divide BJP in the state. Party high command should take action against Eshwarappa, or else we will tour across the state and protest till he is suspended from the party,” he added.
BJP district committee member G Siddappa and leader Rangaswamy were present.
