Suspicious death of Justice Loya; PM Modi, Amit Shah’s resignation sought

Mysuru, January 12:- The Association of Progressive Organisations said that they would stage a protest on January 21 urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah to resign in order to co-operate with the investigation of suspicious death of CBI court judge Brijgopal Harkishan Loya at Nagpur in 2014. The association members said that the then Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and Gujarat Home Minister Amit Shah should give resignation.

“In the case of alleged staged encounter of Sohrabuddin Sheikh in 2005, Loya was offered a bribe of Rs 100 crore. When he rejected to do so, two of his colleagues forcefully took him to a wedding. While returning, the judge died of severe chest pain. This gives rise to suspicions over his death,” said Joganahalli Gurumurthy.

“A protest march will be taken out from Kuvempu’s statue near Gun House to the Deputy Commissioner’s office here. A memorandum will be submitted to the DC,” he added.

Prof Shabbir Musthafa was present at the press meet.
