Suttur seer inaugurates building of Sri Sathya Sai Baba School

Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahas­wamiji of Suttur Mutt inaugurated the newly-constructed school build­ing of Sri Sathya Sai Baba Nursery,

Primary and High School here on Monday.

The school was run by Bhaga­wan Sri Sathyasai Baba Mahila and Makkala Trust was built in 1957. As the building was nearing 70 years and as part of the platinum jubilee celebrations, the authorities have taken up renovation work.

The new three-storeyed building, consisting of 36 classrooms, was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs six crore.

Around 500 children are studying at the building, the spokesperson of the Trust noted.

Speaking to media persons, Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswa­miji of Suttur Mutt lauded the Trust for its contribution to the field of ed­ucation.

He said that the Sai Baba Ed­ucational Trust should strive for holistic development of children. State President of Sri Sathha Sai Educational Institutions Nagesh G Dhakappa, members K Chakra­varthi, R J Rathnakar, S S Naganad, Vijayalakshmi Muralidhar and others were present.
