Swamy threatens to topple govt if Centre, UP oppose construction of Ram Mandir

Prime News, National (New Delhi), December 8:- haratiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy has warned that if the Centre or Uttar Pradesh government tries to oppose the construction of Ram Mandir, he will topple the government. Swamy also claimed that if “our matter”, is listed in January next year then “we will win it”.

Swamy also added that his two opposing parties are the Centre and Uttar Pradesh government. “Do they have the guts to oppose me? If they do, I’ll topple the government. Though I know that they won’t do it,” he said.

Swamy made these statements while addressing a gathering at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Friday.

Swamy made multiple claims while addressing the interactive gathering at the university where he spoke on “Judiciary, Politics and Faith”.

Claiming that Muslims, who are known to him, had no objection on the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya, Swamy asserted Sunni Waqf Board had also accepted that the land captured by Mughal ruler Babur belongs to the Hindus.

“Hindu parties like Ram Janmbhoomi Vyas and Nirmohi Akhada said that there were two temples of which they were trustees, and should be given to them. The Allahabad High Court heard their suit and said it’s Ram Janmbhoomi, two gumbads will go to Hindus, one to Muslims,” Swamy stated.

Saying that the court had agreed to hear his petition as he had the right to pray according to the constitution, Swamy further claimed that the Muslims are only asking for the property, which is not a fundamental right. He also appealed to the Supreme Court to place his fundamental right above Muslims normal property rights and accept his petition.

Swamy claimed that according to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI),  there was a temple on the disputed land of Ram Janambhoomi. (MR, Inputs: Agencies).
