Swami Vivekananda wanted to build strong India: V Nagaraj

Mysuru, January 17:- Honorary secretary of the Mythic Society V Nagaraj said that Swami Vivekananda wanted to build a strong India.

He was speaking after inaugurating the 156th Swami Vivekananda Jayanti at Cauvery Hall at Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) in the city on Thursday.

“Swami Vivekananda was very brilliant. Being a saint, he was always thinking of uplifting India. He was thinking of what to do to make India the world leader. He toured across the world and met kings, common people and scholars. He wanted India to be self-reliant. When we treat everyone equally, discrimination will be gone,” he said.

Vice-Chancellor of KSOU Prof D Shivalingaiah, Dean Prof Basavaraju, Registrar of Evaluation Dr M S Ramananda, Convener Dr Jyothi Shankar and Registrar Prof G Ramesh were present. (MR/GK)
