Mysuru, December 21:- “People in India are living in peace and harmony though they belong to different religions and different lifestyles,” said Dalai Lama. He was speaking at a prayer meeting held at the Buddhist monastery at Bylakuppe for world peace on Wednesday.
“Syria, Afghanistan and other countries have to believe in peace and non-violence. Buddhism has been identified as one of the special religions in the world. If one doesn’t have concentration, he or she can’t understand Buddhism,” he said.
About 8,500 Buddhist monks, students and Tibetans were present in the programme. (MR/RBR).
