Mysuru, October 30:- With only seven months to go for the upcoming assembly polls in Karnataka, aspirants from various political parties are lobbying to get party ticket for T Narasipur constituency.
Son of District In-charge Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa, Sunil Bose is expected to be contesting on a Congress ticket. JD(S) is yet to take a call on its candidate, while the BJP is unable to find a suitable candidate.
Dr Mahadevappa is touring the constituency with his son and is inaugurating several development works. He is pushing forward his son in the name of ‘Mane Manege Congress’ in the constituency.
Zilla panchayat member Ashwin Kumar, Prof H Govindaiah, S N Siddharth, S Mahesh and S Shankar are competing for a party ticket. Wife of late Sundareshan, Dharani Sundareshan is also among one of the aspirants.
Due to lack of leadership, BJP doesn’t seem to have vote-base in T Narasipur. The development works undertaken by Mahadevappa may favour his son, say public. But his candidature is being questioned as he is one of the accused in the illegal sand mafia. (MR/KS).
