Tableau row: MP Pratap Simha slams Siddaramaiah’s biased statement

Prime News, National, Karnataka, Politics, Mysuru, January 19:- In response to senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah’s tweet on the rejection of Narayana Guru’s tableau during the ensuing Republic Day, Bharatiya Janata Party Member of Parliament Pratap Simha has castigated him, saying he is trying to create confusion in the society. “Looking at Siddaramaiah’s statements these days, it seems he wants to divide the society.”

He said, “When he was at the helm, he never thought of freedom fighters like Kittur Rani Chennamma, Onake Obavva, Sangolli Rayanna and Kanakadasa. He could only remember former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. In 2014, instead of sending a tableau of famed personalities from Karnataka, he sent the tableau of Tipu Sultan who demolished the Yadu dynasty.”

Continuing his tirade, Simha said, “After losing power, Siddaramaiah is talking all about famous leaders for political gains.”

The Lok Sabha member representing Mysuru-Kodagu Constituency said, “Tableau is selected based on the theme. Immaterial of who is ruling a state, the tableau is selected not as projected by Siddaramaiah. The selection process is unbiased. The Congress leader should think before talking about anything.
