Unlike at other places, the footpaths of the prominent DD Urs Road, which is in the centre of the city are being used by pedestrians regularly due to the heavy traffic on this road. However, its condition is not up to the mark. Some time back, authorities asphalted this road, but forgot to repair the footpaths. The interlocking tiles came off and became uneven and at some places there are knee deep pits at the end of the foot paths. And these are not visible from a distance. With the current trend of people walking by talking over the mobile may fall in these pits and may hurt themselves. It may be repaired before some causality is reported.
