Teachers should inculcate moral values in students: Educationist

Mysuru, May 15:- “Moral values are vanishing among students and the youth. Educational Institutions and teachers should help the students tread the right path by giving them moral values,” said Prof P Venkataramaiah of Kuvempu University. He was speaking after inaugurating special lecture session on Gandhiji and moral education at BGS BEd College on Monday.

“Youth who are attracted by the western culture are misled in the absence of moral education. They should be taught moral values. Gandhiji walked the path of truth. Students should be inspired by him,” he said.

Someshwaranatha seer of Adi Chunchanagiri branch mutt secretary, Dr N N Prhlad of NCERT Mysuru, director of Gandhi Bhavan Dr S Shivarajappa, Principal of the college, Dr Nagaraj and others were present. (MR/BM).
