Teachers’ training institutes play key role in shaping varsity: UoM VC Prof K S Rangappa

 Teachers’ training institutes play a crucial role in taking the university to a higher level, opined University Mysore Vice Chancellor Prof K S Rangappa, here on Friday.He was speaking at a felicitation programme organised for the newly appointed Syndicate members by Karnataka State University Affiliated Unaided BEd Colleges’ Management Federation, at a private hotel in the city.He said that the UoM on its centenary celebrations is conducting an array of programmes since last year. “However, a better coordination from private institutions will make it better. Quality education has been the buzzword today and the role of teachers’ training institute is crucial in this regard. With competitive teachers we can take the university to a greater level,” he added.

Prof Rangappa, Registrar C Basavaraju, newly appointed Syndicate members Prof D Nanjundaiah, H Ramesh, S Kumar, B V Arun, M Panchalingegowda, S Gopal, Mohammad Abdus Salam, Dr M Sharadamma, M R Devaraju were felicitated.
