Mysuru, May 23:- “Whenever and wherever a crime takes place, we seek the help of technology. It helps us to solve many criminal cases,” said Kuvempunagar police sub inspector Anusha G.
She was addressing a seminar on information technology in police service at the Institute of Engineers on Monday.
“Whenever a crime takes place, CCTV is the first source we look to. Close to 90% of the crimes can be identified through CCTV footages. Even in cyber crime, the culprits can be traced with the help of technology. The nation is progressing towards digitalisation. All the departments are becoming computerised. In the next 25 years, India will lead the information technology field. It is our responsibility to use it for better purposes,” she added.
