Temple tragedy: Four patients discharged from DRM Hospital

Mysuru, January 2:- Devotees who fell ill after consuming poisoned food at Kichuguth Maramma Temple at Sulwadi village in Kollegal taluk were admitted to various hospitals in the city. Of that, four were admitted to DRM Multi-speciality Hospital. All the four who recovered fully were discharged on Tuesday.

Jayalakshmi, 19, Kemparajamma, 38, Mahadevi, 33 and Ramesh, 25 of the same family were undergoing treatment at DRM Hospital since December 15. Their condition was so bad that they had lost consciousness and their lungs were not functioning. They were put on ventilators in the ICU.  They were taken out of the ventilators 12 days after the treatment.

Director of the hospital Dr Manjunath BH appreciated the efforts of the doctors and staff of the hospital in saving the lives of the patients.

At the time of discharge, District Surgeon and Medical Superintendent of Chamarajanagar Medical College Dr Raghuram, Dr Nisarga and Dr Anjali were present. (MR/SH)
