The Hobby Place and Storywallahs to hold storytelling workshops from May 10 to 12
The Hobby Place in association with Storywallahs will be conducting storytelling workshops from May 10 to 12. Chaitali Verma and Sangeeta Goel will lead the workshops at the premises of the city-based art studio and hobby centre.
Stories have shaped history and have the power to mould the future. Vera Nazarian once said, “The world is shaped by two things — stories told and the memories they leave behind.” In fact, stories are the best way to inspire change, motivate, influence and teach.
Storywallahs is a Bengaluru-based organisation that specialises in storytelling. They work with organisations, startups, educators and cultural and learning spaces, among others to help them discover and use the power of stories both in their personal and professional lives.
Chaitali Verma is a fashion designer by education. In a career spanning 15 years she has worked in industries as diverse as fashion designing, exports and Outsourced Business Processes. She loves being with children and likes to tell stories that motivate and inspire.
While Sangeeta Goel after having worked for almost eight years at firms that dealt with numbers and Indian laws, she decided to do what she liked and work for the greater good. This is when she met the love of her life -stories. At Storywallahs, she is discovering her own story even as she narrates stories to children, adults and spe¬cial children.
