Theft case cracked, two men arrested

City police have successfully nabbed two culprits in connection with the theft of Rs 4,40,000 from a parked vehicle recently near Ramvilas Road, Mysuru.

The culprits, Naufal and Babu Lawrence, both hailing from Tamil Nadu, were arrested by the city police and Rs 4,34,000 has been recovered from them. Naufal has been identified as a relative of Abdul Nasser, the victim from whom the cash was stolen and was been aware of Nasser’s trip to Mysuru with the cash. The theft was a pre-planned affair by both Nauful and Lawrence.

The investigation team was headed by Devaraja police station inspector S Nagesh, PSI Lepaksha K, constables Shadakshari, Prakash K S, Praveen Kumar, Manjunath Umesh under the guidance of DCP N Rudramuni and ACP Rajshekhar.
