Mysuru, July 10:- Lui Braille Visually Challenged People’s Service Organisation observed 137th birthday of Helen Keller and felicitated achievers here on Sunday.
Corporator JS Jagdish inaugurated the programme organised at the office of the trust at Sharadadevi Nagar.
“We have a wrong notion that physically challenged and visually challenged can’t achieve things in life but it is wrong. Common people get proper education but they lack motive to achieve. Kempa Honnaiah, a visually challenged person, secured 340th rank in the UPSC examination. He should be a role model for us to emulate,” he said.
H S Balaram, Yogesh, T D Mahesh, Latha and others were present. (MR/KS).
