Mysuru, November 29:- “We remember those who have fought for Kannada in rural areas and their ideologies should be implemented in life,” said Haraduru village panchayat member Jayakumar here on Tuesday.
He was speaking at Kannada Rajyotsava programme held at Haraduru village.
“Kannada Rajyotsava is being celebrated for namesake these days. Youths should not forget those who have fought for Kannada and Karnataka,” he said.
“People going after English in the competitive world. Kannada Rajyotsava should be celebrated throughout the year,” said librarian Mylari.
Parents of soldiers Ganesh, Pradeep, Nanjundaswamy were felicitated on the occasion.
Kashiraj, Rohini, Jyothi Venkatesh and others were present. (MR/KS).
