Mysuru, March 3:- The Mysuru Skill and Job Fair-2018, a mega event organised by the Karnataka Skill Development Corporation in association with the District Administration and other government departments was inaugurated by Small Scale Industries and Sugar Minister Dr Geetha Mahadevaprasad in the city on Saturday.
Inaugurating the mega event held at Maharaja’s College Grounds in the city she said, “Job aspirants who have come to Mysuru must utilise this platform in exhibiting their skills and secure the job they desire to work for. Those who fail to secure jobs or impress the recruiter during the three-day Job Fair must learn from their mistakes and try again in such events to be held in future.”
More than 10,000 job seekers have registered for the Mysuru Skill and Job Fair-2018. On first day of the event thousands of job seekers from Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Hassan, and Mandya districts were present to take part in the job fair where more than 150 leading private companies are participating in the event.
Recruiters from JK Tyres, Nestle, L&T, Schneider Electric, Toyota, Bosch, Reliance, Kotak Mahindra, Eureka Forbes and several other leading companies are participating in the recruitment drive.
CM to inaugurate Asha Deepa Scheme
The state government’s ambitious project Asha Deepa Scheme will be launched by Chief Minister Siddharamaiah during the valedictory of the Mega Udyoga Mela and Skill Development at Maharaja’s College Grounds on March 5.
The Asha Deepa Scheme will bear the employer’s portion of the Provident Fund (PF) and Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) contribution for the candidate if selected at the job mela. The scheme was announced in the state budget for which the government earmarked Rs 45 crore for the current fiscal.
