Threatened farmer pleads for justice

Mysuru, July 22:- Never go to a private financer for loan. The result could be disastrous. A beleaguered farmer, who hails from Jainahalli village in KR Pet taluk, is undergoing mental trauma for doing such a mistake. The farmer has been harassed day and night by the private financer.

“I am ready to pay back the remaining loan amount of Rs 1 lakh to Tukaram, the financer. He is still threatening me and my family,” alleged Umesh Gowda, farmer, while addressing a press meet at Mysuru press club on Friday.

“I borrowed of Rs 3.10 lakh from Tukaram and have returned  Rs 2.1 lakh with interest. For the balance amount, I could not pay  interest since two months. Tukaram came to my house with goons  assaulted me,” he alleged.

“I have complained to the Deputy Commissioner in this connection. If I don’t get justice, I will drink poison in front of DC office,” he added.

Jayamma, Nanjegowda, Nagesh, Natesh, Shivakumar were present at the press meet.
