As part of its month-long World Environment Day celebrations, the Builders’ Association of India (BAI), Mysuru opened its third edition of MyGreen exhibition on Friday.
MyGreen is an exclusive exhibition of eco-friendly products. The main attraction of the exhibition is hand-made clay products, solar energy components, handicrafts, home décor items made of coconut frond and e-plywood.
The three-day exhibition at Jayamma Govinde Gowda Convention Centre has eco-friendly construction materials, sustainable and renewable products, technologies and organic food products. The exhibition was inaugurated by the former CFTRI Director Dr V Prakash.
The exhibition creates awareness among people about eco-friendly practices to be adopted during the construction of their houses.
The exhibition has around 30 stalls from various reputed companies promoting eco-friendly products. Manufactured sand, landscaping, terrace gardening, clay products, slag cement, PVC doors and windows, eco-friendly steel buildings, bamboo roofing, solar water heaters, prefab buildings, water treatment equipment, organic food products and vegetables, etc. are on display.
The Indian Institute of Science is showcasing concepts of rain water harvesting, bio gas, solar energy and renewable energy. The Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) has a stall displaying various concepts of renewable energy.
BAI district president N Subramanya, MyGreen organising committee chairman K Subramanya Rao, BAI secretary B S Dinesh and others were present.
