Mysureans have the opportunity to feast on more than 50 varieties of traditional snacks under one roof as Bengaluru-based wholesale traders Bhagyalakshmi Enterprises is organising ‘Nammoora thindi mela,’ a traditional snacks fest at Jayamma Govindegowda Kalyana Mantapa, Kuvempunagar, here from July 15 to 17.

A Nagaraj, actor Sihikahi Chandrashekar, theatre person Mandya Ramesh will be taking part during inaugural event.
Speaking on Thursday, fest coordinator Aravinda Shetty said t more than 75 stalls have been set up for the mela where traditional snack makers from various parts of Karnataka will prepare fresh snacks. It is also an attempt to bring the youths to taste Indian traditional snacks as the younger generation is more inclined towards western food like pizza, burger. The mela will focus on creating awareness to consume healthy snacks, he added.
