After the Mysuru Dasara rituals, the throne was dismantled into 13 parts and shifted back to the strong room on Thursday. The throne, which was in the Darbar hall of the Mysuru Palace for the Dasara festivities, was shifted to the strong room after a special pooja was offered to it.
The throne was dismantled into 13 parts by the Gejjagalli villagers and four staff of the Palace Board in the presence of Maharani Pramoda Devi Wadiyar. The throne was taken out of the strong room and installed ahead of the Dasara celebrations on September 25.
The throne will be taken out again during the Dasara celebrations next year.
