Tight security for Hanuma Jayanti procession

Mysuru, January 27:- Security has been beefed up in Hunsur in view of the Hanuma Jayanti procession today.  Superintendent of police Ravi D Channannavar instructed the police officials to capture all the movements during the procession.

The idol of Hanuman from Manjunatha temple has been brought to Ranganatha layout. Hanuma Jayanti procession will be held at 3:30 pm as the permission for the procession granted by the district police.

The 11=foot tall statue of Hanuman has already arrived at the venue. Senior police officials –  Southern range IGP Vipul Kumar, SP Ravi D Channannavar, ASP Rudramuni have arrived at the spot.

The Hanuma Jayanti procession which was scheduled on December 2 ended abruptly, thanks to some petty issues. Five conditions by the district administration are in place for the procession to be held. (MR/KS).
