Mysuru, April 10:- “Family politics is flourishing in Karnataka and across the country. The politicians are doing it only to increase their family’s wealth. People have to keep Janata Dal (Secular), Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) out of power and elect genuine candidates who are willing to work with honesty and serve the people,” said state president of Karnataka Rashtra Samithi Ravikrishna Reddy at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Tuesday.
“Common people should also be able to contest elections. We have to support people who do not distribute money and liquor to win the elections and those who do not enter politics just to accumulate wealth. We have to bring in alternative politics. For that people have to support the ‘clean’ candidates,” he said.
“We are launching our Karnataka Rashtra Samithi as a regional party and it is in the process of being registered. Our candidates are now contesting as independent candidates. We will work with ethics to protect democracy in the coming days. K S Somasundar from Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha Constituency, S H Lingegowda in Mandya Lok Sabha Constituency and 12 other candidates are contesting with support from our party in Karnataka. Voters need to be aware of this,” Reddy added.
