Tirumakudalu Sangama gets spruced up for Kumbhamela

Mysuru, February 11:- Triveni Sangama at Tirumakudalu in T Narasipura is all set to host Kumbhamela from February 17 to 19 at Agasthyeshwara Temple and Gunja Narasimha Swamy Temple.

The Mysuru District Administration officials are working day and night to make the event successful. PWD, Town Muncipal Council and taluk administration is undertaking all the works to provide amenities to the thousands of pilgrims during the event.

People from all over the country will take part in Kumbhamela. More than 8 lakh people are expected to attend the mega event. Amenities are being provided for saints, seers and devotees.

Yaga mantapa is being constructed at the middle of the river for sages and saints. Accommodation for men and women, washrooms and drinking water facilities is being provided for the pilgrims.

District In-charge Minister G T Devegowda assured complete support and financial assistance for the mega event to make it the most successful Kumbhamelas held so far. MLAs Ashwin Kumar and Dr Yatindra Siddaramaiah have also extended their support for the event.

Adequate measures have been taken to provide basic amenities to the pilgrims. Quarters for police staffs have also been provided. CCTV cameras have been installed at vantage places to monitor the event. (KS, NGB)
