Navodaya Cricket Club will host five-day state level V Prabhakar Memorial T-20 Cricket Tournament from March 30 at SDNRW grounds. Top eight teams from across the state will vie for the top honours.
Addressing reporters at Press Club here on Monday, Srinivas Prasad, Secretary of the club, said the cricket tournament will be held as part of Navodaya Cricket Club’s silver jubilee celebration and as a tribute to its founder V Prabhakar. The event will include fifteen matches in which eight teams will be participating. The matches will be played on league and knock-out basis. The teams will be divided into two groups, The first two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals which will be played on April 2 at SDNRW ground, while finals will be hosted on April 3 at the same ground. The winners and runners will be rewarded Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 1 lakh respectively.
The eight teams which will be taking part in the tournament are:
