“Touring will enhance the knowledge of every individual and tour is an integral part of every human being,” said President of Hotel Owners Association president C Narayan Gowda.
He was addressing after the send-off programme for tourists who were travelling to various tourist places in North India, organised by Karnataka Rajya Vokkaligara Vikasa Vedike at a private hotel on Thursday. He said: “India is a diverse nation and the only country in the globe to find diversity. Being a Mysurean, I find Mysuru a tourist hub and can witness many tourist destinations in and around the city.”
He later shared his abroad tour experiences with the gathering.
Later, wishing the tourists, writer KS Bhagavan said that these kinds of inter-state tours will make understand the diversity of India. Tour is a part of education and it provides knowledge on the contribution of ancient people. Many temples are rich in architectural marvels. But there is a misconception with the south Indians that river Ganga is sacred but unfortunately it is not pure and is not drinkable water anymore.
He advised tourists not to waste their time during the tour in search of imaginary gods but instead feel the aesthetic parts and enjoy the nature which stays in memory for long and gives solace to mind.
