A mass tree-planting programme was held at the State Bank of Mysore Colony (SBM Colony) Srirampura on Friday where over 200 saplings were planted along with tree guards. The programme was sponsored by State Bank of Mysore under its Corporate Social Responsibility activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy General Manager State Bank of Mysore, Srinivas expressed happiness on the initiative taken by the bank and assured the residents that SBM would continue similar initiatives across the city. “We are not restricted to banking activities but also understand our corporate social responsibility and we support the green initiatives that have made the city to be the cleanest one in India,” he said.
Ravindranath, President of the Residents Association thanked the officials of SBM for sponsoring the activity. Corporator Jagadeesh, K V Ramanath, Secretary, Mysore Bank Colony Residents Cultural and Welfare Association, SBM colony, Srirampura, and residents Chandrasekhar Udupa, Bhanuraman, Rajagopal, Harsha, Vijaykumar, Nagendra Prasad, Jayaram, Umakant, Krishnadev and others were present.
