Trouble for K’taka Bhavan manager, MCC Commissioner

An officer of the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has filed a complaint at K R Police Station, alleging harassment by Mohan Kumar, the manager of Karnataka Bhavan, New Delhi and MCC Commissioner Dr C G Betsurmath. In his compliant, assistant statistical officer, births and deaths, S M Venkatesh Murthy, stated that he had been harassed by Kumar when he was transferred to Karnataka Bhavan in New Delhi. During his tenure at Delhi he had exposed Kumar’s alleged corrupt deals, following which he was transferred to MCC. “After returning to Mysuru, I was not deputed to any department, attendance has not been taken and my salary has been withdrawn.”

But in a counter complaint, MCC Health Officer Dr. Ramachandra alleged that there were several charges of irregularities against Venkatesh Murthy and he was not regular to work.Meanwhile, reacting to the issue, Dr Betsurmath has denied all the allegations and said it was far from truth. Ever since, Venkatesh Murthy assumed office, he has been irregular to his work. Health Department officers had brought that to my notice, but I did not take any action hoping that he would amend his ways. I did not even serve notice to him. Now, without any reason, he has filed a complaint against me,” he added.Krishnaraja Police have received the complaint and issued a Non-Cognizable Report (NCR), but have not registered an FIR.
