“Inculcating pro-life values in students and guiding them towards humanity is the real objective of education,” said Joint Director in the Department of Collegiate Education Morabada Mallikarjuna.
Speaking at the Prathibha Puraskara programme held recently at Sarada Vilas College, he remarked that education becomes meaningful only when students of all strata of the society were brought to the creamy layer.
“It is gratifying that Sarada Vilas College is engaged in this task for decades,” he added.
After releasing the annual magazine of the college ‘Sharade’, he said that the writing ability of the students was visible and that they were capable of emerging as good writers in the future.
President of Sarada Vilas Educational Institutions, B S Parthasarathy urged the students not to forget their alma mater which gave them valuable education and moulded their personality.
Principal of Sarada Vilas College Dr A R Nagabhushana, who presided over the function, stated that honouring the academic achievers and motivating other students to excel are the twin objectives of Prathibha Puraskara.
He further said that initiating students into writing and providing a forum for their talent were the reasons for publishing the college magazine ‘Sharade’ every year.
Honorary Secretary H K Srinath and Governing Council member of the college M B Dongre were present.
