Tunnel belonging to Tipu era found

Mysuru, May 22:- A tunnel belonging to Tipu Sultan era has been found near Bettadapura in Periyapattana taluk.

When the labourers were carrying out excavation work, they spotted a tunnel. The tunnel has a number of sub-tunnels in it. Curious onlookers thronged the spot to have a look at the tunnel.

Tahsildar and police inspector visited the spot.

The information about the tunnel has been given to the officials of archaeology department. (MR/KS).
