Tussle continues between BJP and Shiv Sena over power sharing in Maharashtra

BJP president Amit Shah and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray to meet on October 30

Prime News, National, Mumbai, October 28:- Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Raj Bhavan today (October 28) amid the ongoing tussle between the Bharatiya Janata Party and Shiv Sena over sharing of power in the next state government.

A Raj Bhawan official told that it was a courtesy call. Shiv Sena leader Diwakar Raote is also slated to meet the Governor today.

Meanwhile, BJP enlisted the support of three independent MLA’s on Sunday. Two successful BJP rebel candidates including Geeta Jain from Mira-Bhayander seat in Thane district and Rajendra Raut from Barshi seat in Solapur district along with an independent Ravi Rana from Amravati have extended their support to BJP. On the other hand, two more newly elected candidates, Bachchu Kadu from Achalpur and his colleague Rajkumar Patel from Melghat, both from Amravati district in Vidarbha region, offered their support to the Shiv Sena, after meeting party chief Uddhav Thackeray.

The power-sharing scenario will become clear only after the crucial meeting between BJP president Amit Shah and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray which is scheduled to take place on October 30 in Mumbai. (Inputs: Agencies, NGB)
