Two ‘dancing’ deer found dead in Mysuru Zoo

Two ‘dancing’ deer also known as Bro-antlered deer died at Mysuru Zoo on Monday.

The dancing deer which are usually found in Manipur region and the north eastern parts of the country was found dead at Mysuru Zoo following animal infighting.

 The zoo executive director Kamala Karikalan said that as per the autopsy report, both the deer had fractured their bones which indicated the signs of a fight in their enclosure. While one deer was around eight- years-old, the other was just two and the infighting may have been over dominance between the males.
