District administration, hotels, restaurants and bakery owners association have jointly organised a two-day ‘cake festival’ at the Nanjaraj Bahaddur choultry.
The ‘cake festival’ was inaugurated by MLA Vasu on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Mysuru is well known for its tourism. “Cake festival will add to the beauty of Mysuru and will definitely attract more visitors this the season.
The cake festival is being organised for the third consecutive year and has become more popular than ever. The main attractions of the cake festival are a 650kg vintage care replica made of cake, 230kg replica of Dubai Burj Khalifa prepared by Loyal World, Sweet Palace Bakery’s spider man cake, angry bird cake, Barbie girl cake and many more.
Thousands of varieties, hundreds of flavours and tons of aromas marked the first day of ‘cake festival’ in the city.
Renowned city bakeries such as Dolphins, Aroma, Bindu Bakery, Shri Ram Bakery, Vinayaka Bakery, Pastry World are participating in the festival. Around 22 cake stalls and five tea stalls have been set up at the venue. Cake eating competitions, singing competitions and other cultural programmes will spice up the cake festival.
