A two day Faculty Development Programme (FDP), ‘Chintana Manthana – 2016’ was organised by Maharaja Education Trust Mysore (MET) for teaching faculty of Maharaja Institute of Technology, recently at its campus.
The programme aimed at personality development, introspection and upgradation of teaching abilities of its faculty which was addressed by renowned public speakers Pradyumna, D T Ramanujam and H S Umesh. This was followed by brain storming sessions from teachers and members of MET Dr S Murali, Dr Y T Krishnegowda, Dr T Vasudev, Dr H K Chethan and Dr B G Naresh Kumar.
An MOU was signed by MET with the Giles Brooker’s Academy of New Zealand for the exchange programme of students of Supply Chain Retail Management. Giles Brooker, chairman of Giles Brooker’s Academy spoke about the possibilities of faculty being invited to pursue their higher education in New Zealand, with a subsidized fee structure provided by the New Zealand government.
Academic brochure of the department of Civil Engineering was released on the occasion. Dr H K Chethan, Trustee MET, Dr Mahesh Rao K and Aniruddha A M, convener and coordinator of the FDP, Dr C Ramakrishnegowda, HOD Civil and others were present.
