Two-day workshop on ‘Jishu Hozen’ begins in Mysuru

Mysuru, July 23:- A two-day workshop on ‘Strategic process for operators’ involvement in improvement process deployment of Jishu Hozen (autonomous maintenance)’ was inaugurated at Automotive Axles Ltd here on Monday.

CII Mysuru has organised the two-day workshop for CII Institute of Quality, Bengaluru, with participation of more than 40 delegates.

Dr N Muthukumar, Chairman, CII Karnataka and President and Whole-time Director, Automotive Axles Ltd, addressed the delegates from various manufacturing companies.

L Ganapathy Subramanian, Senior Counsellor, TPM Club of India, CII Institute of Quality from Bengaluru who is the main faculty briefed on the contents of the workshop and how it will them to implement the learning in their factories.

Scaria K K, Counsellor in TPM Club of India, is also a faculty at this workshop. Dr Muthukumar connected the Autonomous Maintenance to a Mother or a Homemaker who manages and maintains her house on her own.  In Indian industries, there is a potential of reducing 35% of cost by eliminating loses in the manufacturing processes, which will collectively enable the nation to grow.

The concept of Jishu Hozen workshop is “I pperate – I maintain” – as when the operator reduces the breakdown and wastages, it will help the management to concentrate on business promotion. -KK
