Mysuru: Two resolutions including re-recognition for the courses of the Karnataka State open University from the UGC was taken by the organisers of the Kannada Sahitya Sammelan during the 83rd Akhila Kannada Sahitya Sammelan that concluded in the city on Sunday.
With the curtains were drawn on the Sahitya Sammelan, the organisers and members of the Kannada Sahitya Parishat has put in front two resolutions and has given a plea to the state government.
In its first resolution, the members have submitted a plea to the government to implement the recommendations of the Kannada Development Authority and the second is the re-recognition of the Karnataka State Open University.
The KDA had earlier recommended taking steps to strengthen government schools and to implement the recommendations of the revised Sarojini Mahishi committee report. Now the members of the Ka Sa Pa, in its resolutions has given a plea to the state government to implement these recommendations.
